What is a personal statement?
Your personal statement is a short paragraph that sits at the top of your CV, below your name and contact details.
Also known as an 'about me section', this can be one of the trickiest parts to write and many job seekers get it wrong.
Thankfully, we have some top tips to assist you in getting this important stage right.
Firstly, try and break it down into three parts:
- About you/who you are
- Why you are right for the role and what value you can add to the company
- Your ambitions and career goals

- If you are writing in the third person, remove prounouns.
